Bad Dogs

Last night we went out with Katelyn and Justin. They have 2 dogs: a lab, Duke, and a yorkie, Teddy. One day Teddy decided to choose a random spot on their wall and just start digging. Fortunately for them, he is 4lbs and didn't get very far. We got home from dinner and found this:

Apparently Duke decided to get in on the action. We didn't know who all was involved at first (Paisley was also at their house), so we took a look at their paws/faces for evidence.Duke was the funniest, obviously. Teddy was just caked with dry wall, so he had to get a bath.

Teddy trying to get dry... and sounding like Donald Duck in the mean-time:

Thankfully my child was clean. She probably just sat on the couch telling them they were going to get in trouble, but boys will be boys!!

Smile for the Camera

A few weeks ago we had a free sealant clinic at our school. Several 2nd grade classes from the Edgewood ISD were bussed in to get free sealants, making our school a zoo. We even had a clown on our floor... creepy. For some reason, my partner and I were chosen to have a million pictures taken of us, one of which was published in SA Express. I don't think it is that interesting, but apparently my parents thought it was a big deal and thought I should share it with the rest of my family, so here is the link.

Valentine's Day

Jordan and I had the best Valentine's date... it might be white trash to some people, but for us- it was perfect! We started the evening with gifts. He brought me beautiful white roses and a cookie cake. We aren't very romantic, just practical, so our gifts may seem weird. I got him an iTunes gift card and an Ireland Rugby t-shirt. The only thing is... I ordered it yesterday on-line, so I printed out a picture.... whoops. He pre-ordered Twilight for me on DVD (it doesn't come out until March 21) and he's going to plan a romantic weekend in Fredricksburg for us in the summer.
I misspelled his name. I'm an idiot.

Then comes the best part. We went to IHOP for dinner! Yay!! Ok, so maybe not the most romantic- but we didn't have to wait for a million people to eat! IHOP is always yummy!
After dinner we came home and watched Rock-N-Rolla... once again, not romantic. It's about criminals in London. But hey, we loved it, so that's all that matters!
After our dinner had finally digested, we went out on our porch and made s'mores. I guess this is the most romantic part of our date b/c we used to do this when we were dating. We went to bed before 11:00 like a bunch of old farts, and that about sums it up!!

Happy Birthday, Jaime!

Today is my sister-in-law, Jaime's, birthday! Yesterday we had a blast going over to her house after church and eating cupcakes and ice-cream. (And yes, I did appreciate the Blue Bell :oP) This is a picture of us last week- - notice the scarf I'm wearing- she made it for me!! I loved it! Thanks, Jaime- you're the best!!

Last night the power in our apartment complex (and the whole block) went out for at least an hour. Thankfully we were able to entertain ourselves! My prize-winning word: "juicy". It got me 99 points!!

Pimping

When I looked at dictionary.com, this is what I got for "pimping":

intr.v. pimped, pimp·ing, pimps: To serve as a procurer of prostitutes.

This is always what I had invisioned:

However, in the medical and dental school world it means something much different. I heard it for the first time yesterday in a video about how hard school can be and how God can help us through it... my thoughts were, "excuse me?! What did he just say??" Because apparently it is when professors and attending doctors corner a student and ask them questions -basically- until they cry. We've all seen it on TV, and yes it really does happen. I did not, however, know there was a specific name for it, and I especially didn't think it was "pimping." The thought a professor "pimping" me makes me a little uncomfortable on many levels. So, if I come home crying and tell you I've been "pimped," don't worry, I haven't quit school to be a prostitute.

4th Picture in the 4th Folder

I'm not really sure if I understand this, so I might have just made up my own game... Tamra tagged me to post the 4th picture in the 4th folder... hmm...

Yes, I have a folder just for my blog headline creations...
